West Cafe & Bistro

The café opened in 2004, and its shaded garden soon became one of the town’s regular meeting points. The West family now runs four places in Göcek: the original café, West Premium with its pastries and quiet garden, West Sushi, and Cozzy Eats for döner and İskender. The café also races its own team, with the West logo on the hull, in the Göcek Yacht Club regattas.

Come for breakfast, a long lunch or coffee and cake. The menu mixes Turkish and international dishes made with seasonal produce, from seafood to homemade burgers, with vegan and gluten-free choices. The kitchen makes its cakes, burgers and lemonade fresh each day. Daily Sabah’s Göcek guide picked out the desserts, the coffee and the house lemonade, and there is a short wine list for the evening.

The café is on Çarşı Yolu, the pedestrian shopping street that runs just behind the waterfront in the centre of Göcek. From the municipal marina and the town quay it is a walk of a few minutes; from D-Marin, at the southern end of town, allow about ten minutes along the seafront.

West is open every day from 08:00 to midnight. Evenings are the busiest time, so call ahead for a dinner table in high season; for breakfast or coffee you can simply walk in.
