Scorpios

Scorpios is a beach club and restaurant on the small peninsula at Paraga beach in Mykonos. Guests come for long lunches at shared tables, a beach set among granite rocks and music that builds towards sunset.

On the Paraga peninsula

Travel.gr describes Scorpios as built on the peninsula of Paraga beach, in a relaxed boho style with earthy tones, palm trees and sunbeds shaded by pergolas, and notes that the interiors are by Lambs & Lions Studio. The club calls itself a gathering place for free spirits, artists and changemakers, and its programme mixes music, art and wellbeing rituals. The brand also has a sister venue in Bodrum, in Turkey.

What to order

Lunch is served at long, shaded tables, with food meant for sharing and shaped by the Eastern Mediterranean: grilled meze, simple salads and lighter dishes such as sea bass carpaccio. Lunch tends to run on into dinner. Order a bottle of crisp Assyrtiko or one of the house specials while resident DJs play from the restaurant stage through the day.

Getting there from the yacht

If your yacht is anchored off Paraga, bring guests ashore by tender; your captain will choose the spot to suit the wind. By road, it is a taxi ride from Mykonos Town. For a big group, book beds and tables before you set out.

Good to know

Choose a sunbed for one or a cabana for up to four, on the open Oasis Beach, the quieter Slope or the Private area, and book through the website or by email. The spa offers massages, facials and body treatments by the sea. Late in the afternoon the Sunset Beach becomes the focus, with music and the club’s sunset rituals. Scorpios is seasonal, so check the programme on its website for opening dates and events.
