The Jib Room

The Jib Room has been a fixture of the Marsh Harbour waterfront for years, and it keeps the feel of a relaxed cookout by the pool. Boat crews tie up, walk up from the dock and stay on for the music. The kitchen is built around the grill, with island seafood alongside the barbecue.

Wednesday is rib night, with baby back ribs from 7pm, and Saturday is steak night, also from 7pm. On other days the menu runs to barbecue plates, island steaks, tacos, conch, the catch of the day and lobster in season.

At the bar, try the house Bilge Burner or the Jib rum punch, or the island standards: Goombay Smash, Bahama Mama and Pain Killer. Kalik and Sands are the local beers.

Marsh Harbour Marina has 57 slips with deep-water dockage, 30, 50 and 100 amp power and water, and it is a port of entry, so you can clear customs on site. Call the marina on VHF channel 16 before arrival. From a slip it is a short walk to the restaurant, and guests from yachts at anchor in the harbour can come in by tender.

The Jib Room is open Tuesday to Saturday, with lunch from 11am to 4.30pm and dinner from 5pm to 9pm. Happy hour runs from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on the same days. Book by phone, WhatsApp or email, and book ahead for the rib and steak nights. The restaurant also listens on VHF channel 16.
