Sait
Sait has a terrace inside Yalıkavak Marina, so guests berthed there can walk to lunch or dinner. It is a seafood restaurant that began in Bodrum in 1993, and the Michelin Guide lists it.
A Bodrum fish restaurant since 1993
Sait Birtan Yılmaz and his wife Ferman opened Sait in Bodrum in 1993. It now belongs to the d.ream restaurant group, which also runs a second Sait at Galataport in Istanbul. The Yalıkavak dining room has a nautical look, and the Michelin inspectors say the marina setting, with its yachts and boutiques, brings Saint-Tropez to mind.
What to order
Start with the meze: sun-dried tomatoes, haydari, fava, artichoke hearts, çiroz (dried mackerel), atom and köpoğlu. Then choose a fish from the day’s catch laid out on ice. The Michelin Guide singles out dolmas filled with rice and meat, and a prawn ceviche with orange, lime and dill.
Lobster and crab appear in both starters and mains, and the menu also covers seafood pasta and grilled red meat for anyone not eating fish.
Getting there from the yacht
Sait is on Çökertme Caddesi inside Yalıkavak Marina, a short walk along the quay from the berths. If the yacht is anchored in Yalıkavak bay, come in by tender and ask the marina office where to leave it.
Good to know
The Michelin Guide lists Sait as open for lunch and dinner every day, but hours change through the season, so call ahead. Book by phone or through the reservation link on the website, and ask for a terrace table facing the marina. Groups of ten or more can ask about private dining.
