Rebuke Lounge

The idea behind Rebuke is a high-end dinner service that turns into a lively lounge as the night goes on, by the sea in summer and winter alike. Since 2016 the kitchen has been led by chef Constantinos Papaconstantinou, who builds his cooking on quality raw ingredients and ideas gathered on his travels. A recent local guide to Larnaca’s courtyards picked it out as a stylish bar and restaurant with signature cocktails.

The menu ranges from Mediterranean dishes to sushi, which guests often single out, and brunch was added when the lounge reopened after a refurbishment. In the evening, order the house cocktails and stay for the music; the cocktail list also makes it a good stop for a drink after dinner elsewhere. Ask the staff what the chef has on that day before choosing.

Rebuke is on Mackenzie beach, about 3 km south of Larnaca Marina: roughly ten minutes by taxi, or a long walk along the seafront past Finikoudes and Piale Pasha. Psarolimano fish restaurant is on the way, about ten minutes’ walk to the north. A taxi is the easiest way back to the marina late at night.

It is open daily from 9am to 2am, all year round. Book by phone or email for dinner, and check the venue’s social media for event nights. The Mackenzie seafront has several other bars and restaurants, so it is easy to carry on the evening along the front.
