Beach Club· Limassol

Guaba Beach Bar

Guaba is a beach bar on the coast east of Limassol and one of the best-known party venues in Cyprus. It opened in 2006 and has hosted many of the biggest names in international dance music on its stretch of sand.

Music by the sea

As Guaba tells it, the idea was a place on the shore where people could come together, feel free and lose themselves in the music. It grew into a venue with an international name, and it still runs a busy programme of DJ days, themed parties and cocktail evenings through the summer, with its own online radio station. Guest DJs have included Dave Seaman, and Paul Oakenfold is among the names on its events programme.

What to order

Come for drinks and music rather than a long lunch. On weekday evenings the Alchemy Cocktail Lab serves signature cocktails made with premium spirits and fresh ingredients, with sofas facing the sea. Day events can start at noon and carry on into the evening, so it is easy to spend a whole afternoon on the beach.

Getting there from the yacht

Guaba is about 7 km east of Limassol Marina on Amathountos Avenue, the coast road lined with hotels east of the city. Allow 15 to 20 minutes by taxi from the marina, and arrange a taxi back in advance on big event nights.

Good to know

Guaba is a seasonal venue that closes for the winter. Some events are free to enter early in the day and charge an entry fee, with a drink included, later on, so check the events page on the website before you go. VIP areas can be booked through the site, and the phone number is listed there too.
