Stone paths lead through olive groves from the top of the site down to the shore. MOYO, the main restaurant and event space, is directed by the Albanian chef Juli Zguro. The Taverna is the simpler, homelier choice, with wooden tables outside among the olive trees and a view over the whole beach.

Pepperon Beach Club is a tented, open space built on the white stones of the beach, with a 360-degree bar, lounge seating and rows of beach beds. Moyo also runs a second beach club, Moyo Drymades, as well as a yoga shala and a spa.

The main restaurant cooks a Mediterranean and Japanese menu: dry-aged meats including Kobe steak, king crab and locally caught Ionian seafood, with vegan dishes and wines from Albania and abroad. The Taverna is the place for wood-fired pizza, a few with Albanian touches, plus fresh seafood, pasta and risotto. Down at Pepperon, the bar makes coffee, signature cocktails and soft drinks for the beach beds.

There are no yacht docks between Orikum and Sarandë, so yachts anchor off Dhërmi and Drymades for an evening ashore and bring guests in by tender. Land on the beach below Pepperon and walk up the paths to the restaurants, and agree the pick-up time with the crew before you go.

Moyo is seasonal and closes at the end of the summer, so check before planning a visit early or late in the year. Tables and beach beds are booked by phone or WhatsApp on the same number, or by email. Weekend evenings bring DJ sets, and Moyo’s beach clubs take part in Dhërmi’s summer music festivals, so book ahead in July and August.
