Meduza Beach Club

LifeClass runs six hotels along the seafront, and Meduza is the beach in front of them, in the heart of Portorož. It has two parts, the Meduza beach and the more exclusive Meduza Exclusive beach, both with concrete terraces, sun loungers and umbrellas.

The beach flies the Blue Flag, the international mark for clean, well-managed bathing sites, and its flat access from the promenade suits guests with limited mobility.

The kitchen keeps things simple and Mediterranean: pasta with a choice of sauces, crispy fried squid, pizza, grilled dishes and seafood salads. Pair them with a glass of sparkling wine or a local Malvazija.

The Meduza Exclusive Bar on the same beach is the place for a cold drink during the day or an aperitif with a view of the sea in the evening.

From Marina Portorož it is about 20 minutes on foot along the seafront promenade to Meduza, or a few minutes by taxi.

The beach is open from mid-June to late September, from morning until early evening, and the beach club closes for the rest of the year. Loungers are charged, and the price list is on the LifeClass website. On summer days there is an entertainment programme and a children’s club on the beach, so it can be lively.
