Christensen Shipyard was long regarded as one of America’s premier builders of custom composite superyachts, celebrated for its meticulous craftsmanship, high‑quality engineering, and a portfolio of 35–60m vessels that became icons of the U.S. yacht‑building industry. Founded in 1985 by Dave Christensen in Vancouver, Washington, the yard delivered 44 yachts over its lifetime, including notable builds such as Casino Royale, Odessa, Remember When, and Artemis. With its climate‑controlled facilities, in‑house engineering, and a reputation for flawless fit‑and‑finish, Christensen stood among the most respected boutique superyacht builders in North America.

Despite its strong heritage, the shipyard faced financial challenges, entering receivership in 2015 and ultimately ceasing production at its Vancouver facility, which was later sold to Vigor Industrial in 2019. While limited construction activity has continued under new ownership, the brand is no longer operating at its former scale and has been exploring relocation options, including a proposed move to Loudon County. Today, Christensen Shipyard remains a name associated with exceptional American yacht‑building quality, even as efforts continue to revive and re-establish the facility’s future.

There are currently around 10 superyachts from Christensen Yachts shipyard for sale, mostly based in the East Caribbean, California or the East Coast of USA. The smallest boat is 35-Metre / 115ft launched in 1988, refitted in 2017 and for sale at around 1,475 million US$'s. The largest one is 2020 launched 49.99-Metre superyacht with world-class pedigree, built with fiberglass, with 4000nm range at cruising speed of 14kn and offered for sale and asking just below 40 million US$'s
