L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele

If your charter starts or ends in Naples, lunch at Da Michele is the classic way to begin. The Condurro family have made pizza since 1870, and their pizzeria in the old Forcella quarter has kept its short menu and its queue for almost a century.

A pizzeria that has hardly changed

Michele Condurro opened his own pizzeria in 1906 and moved it to Via Cesare Sersale in 1930, where it still is today. The founder refused extra toppings, believing they hid the taste of good dough, tomato and cheese, and the family has kept to that idea.

The room is simple and busy, with tables often shared to keep the queue moving. In April 2026 the family opened a small Pizza Museum at the historic site, with licences, photographs and tools going back to 1870.

What to order

The margherita and the marinara are what people come for: long-leavened dough, tomato, fiordilatte and Campanian olive oil, and nothing more. The menu also lists a couple of variations, including the marita, half of each. Order a cold beer or a soft drink and expect to be in and out within the hour.

Getting there from the yacht

Da Michele is about 1.5 kilometres from the Molo Beverello pier, where tenders and ferries come in, and a little further from the Molosiglio harbour. It is a twenty-minute walk through the old centre, or a short taxi ride. Your crew can arrange a car to wait while you eat.

Good to know

The original room takes no bookings: take a numbered ticket at the door and wait for it to be called. A second Da Michele dining room a few steps away takes reservations, which helps with a larger group. It is open every day from late morning until late evening.
