Tea for Two

Tea for Two is a family-run café on Poseidonos Avenue, the seafront road that runs east from Paphos harbour. It opens every day of the year, from breakfast until midnight, and is a good stop for breakfast before a day on the water or for cake and tea in the afternoon.

A Paphos family café

The family opened the first Tea for Two in 1991 on Tombs of the Kings Road, and it has grown to three cafés in Paphos, all still family-run. The seafront branch is the one for charter guests: there is outdoor seating with views over the sea and the harbour, and the atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, with a children’s menu. Many of its regulars have been coming for decades.

What to order

Breakfast is served all day, from a full English to pancakes and lighter plates. The rest of the menu mixes British favourites with Cypriot dishes, salads and sandwiches, in generous portions. Desserts are the main draw: lemon meringue pie, scones, sundaes and other classics, with coffee or a pot of loose-leaf tea. There are vegetarian and vegan dishes, and the staff will help with allergies and intolerances where they can.

Getting there from the yacht

From Paphos harbour, walk east along the seafront promenade for about ten minutes. If the yacht is anchored off, come ashore by tender at the harbour and follow the promenade past the cafés and restaurants.

Good to know

It is open daily from 8am to midnight, 365 days a year, and there is no need to book for coffee or breakfast. Takeaway is available, which is handy for picking up cakes to take back on board.
