S/Y TEAM JAJO — Volvo Ocean 65 Offshore Racing Yacht
Class: Volvo Ocean 65 (One Design) Designer: Farr Yacht Design Builder: 2014/15 Volvo Ocean Race
The TEAM JAJO Volvo Ocean 65 is a race proven, one design offshore machine — a yacht built to survive the world’s harshest oceans and compete at the highest level of professional sailing. Originally launched as Team Brunel, she carries one of the strongest pedigrees in modern Ocean Race history, including multiple podium finishes and tens of thousands of miles of elite offshore competition.
Today, JAJO emerges as a fully refitted, professionally maintained VO65 available for high performance charter. She offers a rare opportunity for race teams, corporate groups, and adventure sailors to experience the exact platform used in the Volvo Ocean Race: fast, stable, reliable, and engineered for endurance.
A Proven Ocean Race Platform
Designed by Farr Yacht Design, the VO65 is renowned for its reliability and structural integrity.
S/Y JAJO combines:
• Carbon construction for strength and weight efficiency
• Canting keel for maximum righting moment and power
• High spec winches and deck hardware for precision handling
• Carbon rig and advanced sail wardrobe for performance in all conditions
Below deck, she is stripped back to racing essentials — pipe cots, navigation station, minimal comforts — everything optimised for speed, safety, and offshore endurance.
Refit & Service History
JAJO has undergone multiple major refits, ensuring she is one of the most prepared VO65s on the market:
Royal Huisman Refit (2022) and ahead of the 2023 Ocean Race when new North Sails inventory was added, the electronics and navigation systems were upgraded, hydraulics and rigging overhauled and upgraded and various structural and systems optimisation completed
On top, full Service & Relaunch occurred in August 2025 when after 18 months stored out of the water, she received a Harken ProCare service, Engine & hydraulics service, New KW swivels and furler bearings, New running rigging where required and the addition of Starlink for offshore connectivity. This meticulous preparation ensures JAJO is fast, reliable, and ready for the 2026 season.
Performance & Capability
The VO65 is built for all type of challenges including ARC and independent transatlantic crossings, major offshore regattas, inshore series, corporate racing experiences and any other type of extreme adventure sailing. She will participate in RORC North Sea Race (Middle of May), RORC Baltic Sea Race (One week in August), RORC Caribbean 600 (February), North Sound Maxi Regatta (March), Antigua Racing Cup (March), BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival (March and April), Gotland Runt - AF Offshore Race (July), ROLEX Fastnet Race (July), Round Ireland Race (June 2028) and Round Britain & Ireland race (August 2030)
With speeds exceeding 30 knots, the VO65 delivers the raw, high adrenaline performance that defines modern ocean racing — but with the reliability of a one design fleet engineered to withstand global circumnavigation. This is all achieved thanks to her extensive racing equipment which includes:
Canting keel to +/- 40 degrees with 5 degrees of incline axis,
3 pedestals, Twin forward daggerboards,
2.14m bow sprit, Twin 800L ballast tanks under cockpit,
centreline 1100L ballast tank forward of mast as well as North Sails Wardrobe such as 2023 - Main, Masthead Zero. J1 & J2, 2022 - A4, 2018 - FR0, J0, J3 and 2014 - Storm Jib.
ACCOMMODATION
As one may expect, this yacht is all about racing and not accommodation. Guests and crew are accommodated in pipecots and share 1 toilet. There are 12 pipecots in total and when racing, up to 16 crew can be on board with max number of guests sleeping remaining at 12. For transatlantic crossings special arrangements during ARC can be discussed.
Why Charter JAJO
There are many reasons why a sailing enthusiast, a corporate department or a professional sailor may want to consider an experience on board of this fabulous racing yacht. Some are listed below; others can be discussed.
• Race proven pedigree — ex Team Brunel, podium history
• One design reliability — identical platform to the Ocean Race fleet
• Fully refitted — Royal Huisman + 2025 service
• Turnkey charter solution — ideal for pro teams or mixed crews
• Corporate impact — unforgettable team building and brand experiences
On top, Volvo Ocean Race Team JAJO competes in one of the most demanding sporting challenges on the planet, driving a high‑performance VO65 through nonstop ocean passages where only precision, endurance, and world‑class seamanship prevail. Their sailors push across vast, unforgiving seas — navigating storms, towering swells, and relentless winds with the same discipline and teamwork you’d expect from a superyacht’s elite crew — delivering a masterclass in offshore racing at its purest and most exhilarating level. Yacht charter experience at this level is therefore a very remarkable project to consider.
JAJO is a yacht that performs both on paper and on the water, offering charter clients a rare chance to step directly into the world of elite offshore racing. She also achieved various top results, such as the Line Honours ARC Rally 2025, 1st in IRC Super Zero Rolex Fastnet Race 2023, 2nd in Ocean Race 2023 and so on.
