MAVERICK

MAVERICK is a 21.3-meter Sunreef sailing catamaran launched in 2013, offering five luxury cabins, a full-beam flybridge, and generous outdoor living spaces. Ideal for Bahamas summer cruising and Caribbean winter charters.

Twelve guests share five cabins aboard MAVERICK, which makes her well suited to larger family groups or friends travelling together who would rather cruise on a catamaran than a monohull. Built by Sunreef Yachts in Poland, she offers the broad, stable platform typical of a multihull, so time at anchor feels settled and the living areas stay level, which is reassuring for younger children and less experienced sailors.

Spanning the width of the yacht, the full-beam flybridge gives a raised outdoor space for sunbathing, conversation and watching the approach to a new anchorage. Extensive water sports equipment is carried on board, so a swimming stop can easily turn into an afternoon of activity on the water, while those who prefer a slower pace can stay aboard and enjoy the deck spaces.

Both of her seasonal cruising grounds are known for warm, clear water. The Bahamas are characterised by shallow banks and scattered cays, waters where catamarans, which generally draw less water than monohulls of similar length, are very much at home. The Caribbean's island chains, meanwhile, lend themselves to relaxed island-to-island sailing through the winter months, with a new anchorage often only a short passage away.
