AMMONITE

AMMONITE is a 24.9m Southern Wind 82 launched in 2016 and designed by Nauta Design. She offers refined Italian styling, strong sailing performance, and comfortable accommodation for six guests.

Built by Southern Wind Shipyard in South Africa, AMMONITE is a yacht for guests who want to sail. Her 4.7-metre draft is central to that character, since a deep keel generally gives a sailing yacht better upwind ability and a steadier motion under sail. The trade-off, common to deep-draft yachts, is that anchorages are chosen with depth in mind when planning each day.

Three cabins accommodate six guests, making her well suited to three couples, a family or a small group of friends. With a crew of three, there is one crew member for every two guests, allowing attentive service on a yacht of intimate scale.
