This boat came into being thanks to a visionary owner. Given the limitations most charter yachts have, with a maximum of up to 12 guests sleeping and cruising, there was a need to more boats which can cater for larger parties, extended families, celebrity teams or corporate events. The As a result, NEROs’ new owner, the Dutch Jan Verkerk, who previously owned the 37m super yacht Jaguar, was inspired to create a new type of mega charter yacht. First and foremost, this boat was supposed to be offering accommodation for more than 20 guests while meeting all international regulations for taking more than the typical 12 charter guests on board. The result was purchase of the abandoned commercial ship and her transformation in what she is today, one of the finest giga yachts available for mega yacht charter in the world.

Giga yacht NERO (90m/296’) is newly built super mega yacht offering enormous facilities for up to 12 guests. This charter yacht mainly cruises around the West Mediterranean or Eastern Caribbean, yet it is also happy to accept charters as far as Patagonia, Antarctica or Indian Ocean and Pacific. She is one of the ultimate extended family or corporate event charter boats, which is regularly chartered by the businesses and VIP’s.
Super yacht NERO is normally cruising at speeds of around 14.5kn in all the hottest locations on the Med including Porto Cervo, Isola di Capri, Cannes, St Tropez, Monaco, Portofino, Ibiza or the Caribbean such as St Kitts, St Barths or Anguilla, while consuming only around 450L of fuel each hour. Thanks to her twin MAK 9M20 super yacht engines, providing a total of 2333hp each, she can reach maximum speed of around 16.5kn. Her best features are the fact she is a fuel efficient yacht which can cruise long distances, up to 5000nm at cruising speed, enormous cabins including a duplex master suite, and fabulous facilities such as a 5.7m opposite currents swimming pool and a large 6m foldout side swimming platform.

Verkerk Yachting Projects’ built mega charter yacht NERO has 13 staterooms on board and can accommodate up to 22-26 guests sleeping and 36 guests cruising.
Cabin configuration
- Master Cabin par excellence, including two bathrooms, his with shower and hers with bath tub;
Jacuzzi; study en-suite to Master Cabin, convertible into a double (2 – 4 guests).
- 8 double cabins with king size beds and en-suite facilities (16 guests)
- 4 twin cabins with en-suite facilities, two of which can convert into doubles
- Each and every cabin has its own theme and some are specifically designed for children !
- All cabins are equipped with an LCD TV/DVD, mini bar, safebox, A/C-heating, a vanity table/desk, a laptop/PC desk connection point, restful chairs, saloon table, a walk-in closet, toilet with rest room, bidet, bath, double basin and shower.
There is also individual controlled air conditioning, SAT TV, iPhone dock, en-suite bathroom in each cabin.
NERO is fully air conditioned throughout.
Her super yacht crew of up to 20 including the captain, have separate crew quarters with heads and showers and have their own companionway.
