About Voorland
1. Dutch Engineering Heritage
Voorland Shipyard is no longer known to be trading, yet they used to represent the classic Northern European philosophy of precision, reliability and quiet mechanical performance. Their builds emphasise robust hull construction, long‑range stability and meticulous systems integration.
2. Specialist in Custom Steel & Aluminium Yachts
The shipyard was known for producing fully custom steel and aluminium yachts in the 40–50 metre range, focusing on seaworthiness, structural integrity and efficient hull forms suited to extended cruising.
3. Naval Architecture Partnerships
Voorland collaborated with respected Dutch naval architects, including Ginton Naval Architects, to deliver yachts with balanced hydrodynamics, low vibration levels and excellent comfort underway.
4. Interior Craftsmanship & International Designers
The shipyard frequently partnered with international interior designers such as Claudette Bonville, blending Dutch technical discipline with warm, contemporary interior styling tailored to private and charter use.
5. Quiet Cruising & Technical Reliability
A hallmark of Voorland builds was their exceptionally quiet operation. Engine room insulation, vibration control and mechanical layout are engineered to Northern European standards, resulting in smooth, silent cruising.
6. Current Models for Sale or Charter
Voorland yachts did not create a huge number of superyachts, yet those they did, are usually of top quality and popular charter boats. One of them is LADY DEE, 154ft/47-metre superyacht which cruises Mediterranean in the last 2 decades and is one of the more popular charter yachts.

7. Charter‑Friendly Volumes & Guest Flow
Voorland yachts typically featured generous interior volumes, wide beam layouts and practical guest flow. Their designs prioritise comfort, storage, crew efficiency and outdoor living — making them strong performers in the charter market.
7. Proven Long‑Range Cruising Capability
With efficient hulls and reliable systems, Voorland yachts were designed for multi‑week itineraries across the Med and beyond. Their builds are known for durability, low maintenance demands and long service life.
