NEW ZEALAND LUXURY YACHT CHARTERS
With almost 10,000nm of a spectacular coastline, where numerous sheltered bays and island dotted harbors abound, choosing NEW ZEALAND as your luxury yacht charter destination can be a life changing experience.
The most popular sailing or cruising grounds are within the marine reserves, namely the Hauraki Gulf, the Bay of Islands and the Marlborough Sounds. Here you can enjoy fabulous panoramic views of some of the most picturesque scenery available anywhere, all from on board of your chartered mega yacht or a power catamaran such as MY MOONDANCE
. On board of some selected superyachts you can also head into the inshore cruising grounds or explore longer distance coastal journeys such as those in the East Coast, around Auckland or towards the Bay of Islands, such as Kerikeri inlet or Whangaroa Harbour where a unique surroundings will welcome anyone visiting NEW ZEALAND for the first time. This could possibly even include stopover at Cape Reinga, on the North West side of North Island which is at the same time the highest point in New Zealand and from where Tasman Sea meets the mighty Pacific.
Despite NEW ZEALAND being on average a small to medium size country, you should plan to have an extensive sailing adventure here, if not a genuine long term charter experience. This is because travelling to NZ is not the easiest thing to do for a European or even an African or American. And while you are here, we suggest you do plan at least a 10 day charter. With additional services you can extend your stay in the country even longer, yet sailing or cruising when chartering a yacht should be done extensively for sure.
This is because, it is the life on the water here that is special, like nowhere else in the world. Everything is bigger here, from the heart rate when you are kayaking through an amazing marine nature reserve to the fish you are likely to catch. With additional services such as excursions to some on shore locations such as ancient Fox and Frenz Josef Glaciers, white water rafting, or exploring rugged terrain with your own 4x4 while surrounded with some of the most spectacular scenery you can see anywhere, this is the location you will not want to leave after only 7 days.Possible Itinerary:
A regular one week – 10 day charter on board of a hired yacht, will most likely take you around locations such as Auckland, Waiheke Island, Coromandel Peninsula, Great Barrier Island, Poor Knights Islands, Cape Reinba and the afore mentioned Bay of Islands and the scenic Whangarao Harbour. For those who would like to escape civilisation and find solitude, exploring Great Barrier Island for more than a couple of days could be heaven on Earth while thrill seekers amongst charter guests can decide to dive with stingrays in Poor Knights Island
On request, we can also arrange a Maori Party greeting to await you when boarding so that you can start the NEW ZEALAND yacht charter vacation in the best of local traditions. The playground for Auckland elite and boaters, the Hauraki Gulf is where you are likely to spend most of your time following the embarkation and before disembarkation. This is where world class restaurants, designer shops or city galleries and museums will wait for you following your return to land or which you will want to explore just before your luxury yacht charter in the South Pacific.
With first rate sailing conditions in the region, you will surely be encouraged to explore more.
