Codecasa Shipyards announced late last week that the new CODECASA 50, a new 50m Vintage Series model, currently known as Hull C121 (Photo above), has been moved from the production site in the Darsena dei Navicelli, Pisa to the Viareggio facility, where the outfitting and finishing of the Yacht will be completed.
The Codecasa Vintage Series was originally unveiled during the Monaco Yacht Show 2011, when the shipyard exhibited the first unit of the CODECASA 42 – Vintage Series, Hull F73 (Last Photo down). This model achieved such a resounding success among the industry fans and experts and it ended with the Nautical Design Awards 2011 for the Best Interior Design. This 42m Yacht , named M.Y. Magari after being sold, is now cruising in the Med and under circumstances it may be available for luxury yacht charter holidays in the Mediterranean or the Caribbean. Two years later, that same success was strengthened through the launching of the sister-ship, Hull F75, which was completed in July 2013. As with the MY MAGARI, this new model was still fully representing the distinctive and identifying traits of the whole line, with the hull being inspired by a classic style and traditional lines in the exterior as well as in the interior design. Thanks to the continuous and careful application of cutting edge and last generation superyacht building technologies, which enabled the shipyard to obtain the best in terms of reliability, safety and luxury comfort for the Owner and his Guests, with full respect and safeguard given to the environment, the whole series gained an enormous coverage.

As a result, the larger 50 series went into production and the HULL C121 is now seeing the first light. This latest, first in line of 50m yachts intended to become the flagship of the Vintage Series, which already includes the two aforementioned 42 meters Yachts built in 2011 and 2013, is now scheduled for delivery in Summer 2015. Spread over three sumptuous decks, in addition to the impressive and most popular Sun Deck, the new 50 meters will be known by extremely classic and simple exterior lines and by internal volumes that, according to the preliminary calculations made by the Shipyard technical staff, reaches almost 700 GRT.
Hull C121 will be equipped with two Caterpillar 3512C marine diesel engines (2365 HP each at 1800 rpm), which will provide her with a 17,5kn maximum speed in the light displacement conditions, as well as provide a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles at an expected cruising speed of 12kn. The 50m Vintage Series Hull C121 features two large salons, five spacious guests’ cabins, in addition to the Owner’s Suite, and a total of six cabins for the Crew.
Exterior living and relaxation areas characterize all decks, offering the maximum comfort to the Owner and his Guests.
Codecasa Shipyards were established in Viareggio, Tuscany back in 1825 by the Giovanni Battista Codecasa. From then and until today, the shipyard has seen constant evolution and expansion, becoming a renowned shipyard specialised in the construction of bespoke, luxury motor yachts. They are known as builders of steel and light alloy superyachts, ranging from 30 – 70m LOA. Still run by the founder’s heirs and the close family members, the Codecasa Shipyards Group offers a wide range of highest quality motor yachts, all built with latest, cutting-edge technology and as unique, modern, classic and minimalist super yacht models.
It is not yet known if the Codecasa 50m will be available for luxury mega yacht charter holidays either in the Mediterranean or the Caribbean once it is launched.
